EXPLORE

Author Bio
Corinne writes short stories and historical fiction, with a blend of romance, mystery and magical realism.

She lives in the Yarra Ranges with her partner and an assortment of visiting wildlife (all of whom have embraced their roles as writer’s muses).

She has university degrees in archaeology and creative writing.

When she’s not writing or rescuing wildlife she likes to explore the world - creeping through the bush on safari in South Africa, clinging to the back of an airborne ute soaring over Jordan’s dunes, and cruising the Nile - prompting more writing.

Corinne is currenly working on a two-part historical fiction saga based on the life of King Tut’s forgotten queen. The novels will transport readers into the world of ancient Egypt with atmospheric settings, driven characters and secret plots that will keep you guessing until the last.

Egypt 1323 B.C.E.
When Tutankhamun dies suddenly in suspicious circumstances his beautiful young queen, Ankhesenamun, must find a new husband or risk losing Egypt to Vizier Ay.

Intrigued by the mystery of Ankhesenamun and her ultimate fate, I decided to research her life and the historical events she lived through, (and travel to Egypt, of course), to write a fictionalised account of her life.

The novels imagine Ankhesenamun’s story, from her childhood, growing up amidst palace conspiracies, to her dangerous bid to marry an enemy prince after Tutankhamun's death.

I hope readers will find Ankhe’s journey as fascinating and thrilling as I do. We know her as an historical queen of Egypt, but she was also a young woman who strived desperately to control her destiny in a world ruled by men.
